The effect of advanced maternal age on maternal and neonatal outcomes of placenta previa: A register-based cohort study
European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology Jun 01, 2018
Roustaei Z, et al. - Researchers aimed at exploring the effect of advanced maternal age (AMA) on adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes among pregnancies complicated by placenta previa. They analyzed data from three Finnish health registries, including information of 283,324 women and their newborns, and identified 714 (0.3%) pregnancies complicated by placenta previa. Maternal age was observed to have no marked impact on the risk of adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes among women with placenta previa if their different risk profiles were taken into account.
