International Wound Journal Jan 18, 2018
Murphy CA, et al. - Experts undertook a comparative evaluation of the changes in wound size and appearance and health complication rates in patients with vasculopathy and lower-extremity wounds treated with or without low-frequency contact ultrasound debridement (LFCUD). Findings unveiled a greater number of healed wounds and fewer instances of wound deterioration due to LFCUD treatment. When compared to current usual wound care practice, weekly LFCUD applications to patients with significant vasculopathy led to superior healing outcomes.
