The diagnostic value of tissue button technique for specimen accusation during endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial fine-needle aspiration
The Clinical Respiratory Journal Nov 15, 2017
Fruchter O, et al. - This study entails a retrospective assessment of the diagnostic yield of a tissue button (TB ) technique in patients undergoing endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) for various malignant and benign conditions. Findings demonstrated that using TB technique in this patient population afforded valuable histological diagnostic material. Furthermore, the simplicity, as well as high diagnostic yield of TB, led to its recommendation as one of the preferred specimen acquisition modalities during EBUS-TBNA specimen processing.
