The diagnostic value of serum exosomal has_circ_0000615 for breast cancer patients
International Journal of General Medicine Aug 19, 2021
Liu J, Peng X, Liu Y, et al. - Findings suggest a promising diagnostic value of the detection of has_circ_0000615 in peripheral blood samples for breast cancer.
The expression level of has_circ_0000615 was determined in the peripheral blood samples of 95 breast cancer patients who underwent curative surgical resection and 95 age-matched healthy volunteers.
A significantly higher expression level of has_circ_0000615 was recorded in the plasma of breast cancer patients.
A close association of a high expression of has_circ_0000615 was observed with advanced tumor stage, lymph node metastasis and high grade of recurrence risk.
Relative to routine tumor biomarkers such as CA153, CA125 and CEA, serum has_circ_0000615 expression had a better diagnostic efficiency for differentiating breast cancer patients from healthy individuals.
More importantly, the exosomes were detected expressing has_circ_0000615 and breast cancer cell lines showed markedly upregulated expression level of has_circ_0000615 compared with normal ductal epithelial cells.
