The diagnostic significance of pulmonary nodules on CT thorax in chondrosarcoma of bone
Clinical Radiology Jan 08, 2020
McLoughlin E, et al. - A search of the oncology database at a specialist orthopedic oncology referral center was performed to recognize all individuals who were treated surgically for chondrosarcoma among January 2007 and December 2018, experts intend to give a diagnostic strategy to pulmonary nodules in individuals with chondrosarcoma. A total of 20.2 percent of people had a pulmonary nodule recognized on either initial or follow-up staging CT of the thorax, of which 8.1% were pulmonary metastases. Records from the CT examinations of the thorax of these individuals were examined. It was found that the diagnostic importance of pulmonary nodules could be prognosticated by taking into account a number of factors, in particular, the histological grade of the individual's chondrosarcoma, the size and margins of the nodules, and the presence of subtle/irregular calcification.
