Woo S, et al. - The purpose herein was to appraise the diagnostic performance of MRI in order to identify pelvic lymph node (LN) metastasis in patients with bladder and prostate cancer. High specificity was illustrated by MRI, however, it exhibited a poor and heterogeneous sensitivity for detecting pelvic LN metastasis in patients with bladder and prostate cancer. An improvement could be achieved in the sensitivity by using ultrasmall superparamagnetic particles of iron oxide.
