The diagnostic and prognostic value of serum lncRNA NEAT1 in colorectal cancer
Cancer Management and Research Nov 05, 2020
Wang Y, Zhang D, Zhang C, et al. - Researchers conducted the study for determining the diagnostic and prognostic value of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) nuclear paraspeckle assembly transcript 1 (NEAT1) in colorectal cancer (CRC). The expression levels and diagnostic value of serum NEAT1 have been assessed in the training and validation cohorts. The prognosis value of serum NEAT1 in CRC was then further investigated. According to results, the expression levels of serum NEAT1 were significantly higher in CRC, particularly in metastatic CRC, than in colorectal adenoma and healthy controls. A promising diagnostic and prognostic biomarker for CRC could be serum NEAT1.
