The correlation of NLRC3 expression to the progression and prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma
Human Pathology Aug 20, 2018
Ma YY, et al. - This study was carried out to evaluate the association of NLRC3 (a member of the nucleotide-binding domain and leucine-rich repeat family protein that plays a role in inflammation and immunity) expression with the progression and prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Using Oncomine and OncoLnc database, researchers assessed the clinical significance of NLRC3 in HCC. Data reported that NLRC3 mRNA level was directly related to mRNA levels of inflammasome components caspase-1, IL-1β and IL-18. Results of this study suggested that downregulated expression of NLRC3 might play a vital role in cancer progression and prognosis of HCC by acting as a tumor suppressor.
