Xie R, et al. – Researchers deliberated that the combination of 2–deoxyglucose (2–DG) and microbubbles (MBs) will increase the effect of 5–aminolevulinic acid (ALA)–sonodynamic therapy in HepG2 liver cancer cells. This study demonstrates a promising therapeutic strategy applying a combination of 2–DG, MBs and ALA–SDT for treating liver cancer.
