Bagchi A, et al. - This study hypothesized higher rate of postoperative pulmonary complications after pressure-controlled ventilation than after volume-controlled ventilation. Findings lent support to volume-controlled ventilation during surgery, specifically in patients at risk for postoperative pulmonary complications.
