Asfari MM, et al. - The relationship between obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) was evaluated from a large database. After controlling for other confounders, patients with OSA were 3 times more likely to have NASH compared with patients without OSA. Findings demonstrated that for developing NASH, OSA ought to be considered as an independent risk factor.
