Helicobacter Sep 04, 2018
Li Z, et al. - Researchers carried out a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate if gastric cancer risk could be reduced by garlic intake via a random-effect models, and assessed the connection between garlic consumption and Helicobacter pylori infection via a search of PubMed, Embase, MEDLINE, and Cochrane Library on April 2018. The data presented showed a significant inverse relationship of garlic intake with gastric cancer risk. Findings revealed that the majority of these studies were poor in quality because of the small sample size and high risk of bias. Therefore, no definite conclusion can be drawn regarding the relationship of garlic with Helicobacter pylori infection.
