Ozturk K, et al. - During this study, authors examined the tie-up between fatty pancreas and subclinical atherosclerosis in patients with biopsy-proven nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and healthy controls. It was deduced that fatty pancreas served as a contributing factor for the development of atherosclerosis in subjects with NAFLD. Yielded data affirmed the strong link between NAFLD and fatty pancreas.
