American Journal of Nephrology Sep 12, 2017
D'Agnolo H.M.A, et al. Â This study was formulated to examine whether combined total kidney and liver volume had stronger associations with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD)-related pain and gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms than the volumes of the organs separately. With a more prominent role for height-adjusted total liver volume (hTLV) than for height-adjusted total kidney volume (hTKV), combined kidney and liver volume was associated with the presence and severity of pain and GI symptoms in ADPKD.
