Mady LJ, et al. - An inquiry was carried out for evaluating the impact of inhalant pollutants (particulate matter 2.5 [PM2.5] and black carbon [BC]) on allergic rhinitis and chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) disease severity. This study illustrated that small inhalant pollutants could contribute to nonallergic symptomatology in patients with and without nasal polyps. Furthermore, BC could play a role in CRS symptom severity, irrespective of the allergy status.
