The association between varicocoeles and vascular disease: An analysis of U.S. claims data
Journal of Andrology Dec 07, 2017
Wang NN, et al. - The link between varicocele and incident medical comorbidities were exploratively assessed during this trial. The varicoceles group demonstrated a higher risk of diabetes and hyperlipidemia than the vasectomy group. The findings disclosed a higher risk of heart disease, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia following diagnosis among men with symptomatic varicoceles. This was not noted in men with asymptomatic varicoceles. Owing to the prevalence of varicoceles, additional trials were warranted in order to comprehend the implications of a varicocele to a man's overall health.
