Aubert CE, et al. – A population–based prospective cohort study was conducted to determine whether subclinical thyroid dysfunction was correlated with dementia and cognitive decline. Subclinical hyperthyroidism with a TSH<0.10mIU/L was correlated with a higher risk of dementia and a larger cognitive decline among older adults, while subclinical hyperthyroidism with mildly decreased TSH or subclinical hypothyroidism were not.
