International Journal of General Medicine Aug 19, 2021

Hu B, Cao J, Hu Y, et al. - A positive correlation between serum anion gap (AG) and all-cause mortality (including in-hospital, 30-day, and 90-day all-cause mortality) was found among disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) patients.

  • Limited studies were available regarding death risk factors of DIC patients.

  • Data were obtained from Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care III version 1.4 (MIMIC-III v1.4).

  • This study included 2,654 DIC patients.

  • Nearly linear link between AG and all-cause mortality of DIC patients was indicated.
