Bazargani ST, et al. - The tie-up between intraoperative fluid intake and postoperative complications was comprehensively assessed by the researchers in patients who underwent radical cystectomy (RC) for bladder cancer with an enhanced recovery protocol. They discovered that higher intraoperative fluid intake did not independently increase the complication rate following radical cystectomy. In order to ascertain the possible involvement of fluid optimization in decreasing morbidity after this major surgery, advanced studies were required.
