BMC Ophthalmology Jun 27, 2018

Chen YY, et al. - From January 1, 2001, through December 31, 2011, a population-based retrospective cohort study using the Taiwan National Health Insurance Research Database was conducted to examine the relationship between glaucoma and the subsequent risk of developing depression as well as evaluated risk factors associated with depression in glaucoma patients. It was observed that patients with glaucoma were at significantly greater risk of developing depression.
