Azami M, et al. - Based on PRISMA Guidelines, researchers conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to examine if gestational diabetes (GDM) was related to postpartum depression (PPD). A total of 18 studies were reviewed with a sample size of 2,370,958. Findings suggested that GDM could be a risk factor for PPD, as PPD risk was significantly higher in association with GDM. Therefore, it appears necessary to examine PPD in pregnant women with GDM.
