The association between functional dyspepsia and depression: A meta-analysis of observational studies
European Journal of Gastroenterology & Hepatology Jul 16, 2019
Lin S, et al. - In this meta-analysis of observational studies involving 59,029 people, researchers explored if there was a connection between functional dyspepsia (FD) and depression. Using a random-effects model, the pooled odds ratios with 95% confidence intervals and subgroup analyses were calculated. The data presented in this work showed a positive link between FD and depression. FD patients in Europe were more likely to have depression vs Asians in the subgroup analysis.
