Clinical Nutrition Sep 12, 2017
Bellelli G, et al. - This study investigated the co-occurrence of sarcopenia and delirium and the independent association between them in a population of hospitalized older adults in order to shed light on the link between them. Sarcopenic patients were more frequently diagnosed with delirium upon admission to the acute geriatric unit (AGU) as compared with others. Furthermore, an independent association of delirium with the risk of being sarcopenic upon admission to the AGU was reported.
