Thyssen JP, et al. - A comparative scrutiny was pursued of the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and diabetes among adult patients with and without atopic dermatitis (AD). The findings revealed that adults with AD in some populations exhibited an increased prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors, such as obesity and smoking. However, it was unlikely that AD represents an independent and clinically relevant risk factor for cardiometabolic disease.
