The analgesic effect of intravenous methylprednisolone on acute neuropathic pain with allodynia due to central cord syndrome: A retrospective study
Journal of Pain Research Jul 03, 2018
Li L, et al. - Researchers presented the effects of early treatment with methylprednisolone (MP) on acute neuropathic pain relief and the quality of life (QoL) in Central cord syndrome (CCS) patients. In this retrospective study, they analyzed data from the medical records of CCS patients who suffered from acute neuropathic pain with allodynia. As per outcomes, MP has been identified as an effective therapeutic alternative for relieving acute neuropathic pain with allodynia among these patients. The encouraging results justify confirmation of these results in randomized placebo-controlled clinical trials.
