Klein AA, et al. – An examination was carried out of the ACTA–PORT score for predicting the risk of transfusion in patients undergoing cardiac surgery. The data suggested that this and other scores could be used in research studies for risk adjustment when assessing outcomes. It could be included into a Patient Blood Management programme.
