Wisniewski JA, et al. - A better understanding is required regarding the pathogenesis of severe asthma in childhood. This study intended to construct the immunological landscape in the airways of children with severe asthma. Findings revealed that the lower airways of these patients exhibited a dominant Th1 signature, and atypical cytokine profiles that link to allergic status.
