Ohmaru TN, et al. - This article was composed with the goal to concentrate on the connection between the pathogenesis of preeclampsia (PE) and placental fibrosis induced by TGFzβ. It was concluded that the fibroblasts from PE placentas were more sensitive to TGFβ stimulation than those of normal pregnancy (NP) placentas. Consistent with the increased levels of TGFβ in villous stromal of PE could be influenced to the pathogenesis of PE.
