Liu L, et al. – This study was meant to gauge telomerase reverse transcriptase gene (TERT) promoter methylation in fecal samples from gastrointestinal cancer (GIC) patients and healthy adults, and its value as a stool biomarker for GIC detection was examined. In view of the outcomes, stool TERT promoter methylation was feasible as an additional tool in noninvasive GIC screening.
