LaFleur J, et al. - Researchers performed a comparison of renal adverse outcomes among treatment-naive HIV-infected patients initiating Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF)-containing regimens including efavirenz (EFV) or other agents. Findings revealed a significantly lower risk of chronic kidney disease in association with EFV + TDF/emtricitabine (FTC) vs other TDF-containing regimens in the Veterans Health Administration.
