Temperature probe placement during preterm infant resuscitation: A randomised trial
Neonatology Oct 02, 2017
Bensouda B, et al. - This research examined if temperature probe placement in the dorsal, thoracic, or axillary area during delivery room resuscitation would lead to varying temperatures, on admission to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), in moderately preterm infants. Similar admission temperatures were presented during resuscitation through dorsal, thoracic, or axillary temperature probe positioning, in the study cohort. In the case of infants below 28 weeks of gestation, additional analyses were necessitated to identify the best practice.
