Task sharing with non-physician health-care workers for management of blood pressure in low-income and middle-income countries: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Anand TN, et al. – Researchers evaluated the effectiveness of task-sharing interventions for the improvement of blood pressure control among adults in low- and middle-income countries. They analyzed data from 43 trials and 20 before-and-after studies. According to findings, task-sharing interventions were effective in lowering blood pressure levels; however, long-term studies are warranted to understand their potential effect on cardiovascular outcomes and mortality.
