Tailored approach to gastroparesis significantly improves symptoms

Arthur LE, et al. – The authors present the results of their selective surgical approach for patients with gastroparesis. All procedures proved significantly beneficial in improving symptoms. Gastric stimulator (GES) demonstrated more improvement than PP, and if PP or GES provided no adequate symptom improvement, gastric stimulator and pyloroplasty (GSP) proved appropriate. In their practice, they reserved gastrectomy as a last resort.
