Systematic long-term follow up after endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair with the Zenith stent graft
European Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Jul 03, 2019
Väärämäki S, et al. - The long-term outcome (16 years) after endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) with the Zenith stent graft was evaluated via analyzing 282 patients [median age: 76 years (range 49–92 years)] with an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) treated electively and monitored annually from 2000 to 2010. Findings revealed that following EVAR, a high number of graft-related complications appear and new complications keep on appearing years after the initial procedure. Despite the rarity of fatal AAA rupture after EVAR, even systematic follow up cannot totally avoid it.
