Switching from concomitant therapy to tafluprost/timolol fixed combination

Inoue K, et al. - Researchers aimed to determine the effectiveness and safety of tafluprost/timolol fixed combination (TTFC) in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma who had used tafluprost and timolol gel for at least 3 months with good adherence. Due to adverse reactions, only 2 patients discontinued the treatment among the 28 enrolled patients. Results suggested that switching to TTFC achieved similar intraocular pressure (IOP) control with good safety and a high level of patient acceptance in patients who had relatively good adherence to concomitant therapy. Data revealed that more patients preferred TTFC.
