Erlandsson MC, et al. - The utility of survivin for preclinical recognition of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) among patients with unexplained arthralgia was tested. In addition to improving RA risk estimation, measurement of survivin in serum prospectively predicted RA development in this patient population. In addition, survivin may indicate a phase preceding autoantibody production.
