Bernstein EJ, et al. - Authors sought to assess if there was an increased mortality after lung transplantation in cases with autoimmune rheumatic diseases (ARDs) and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) on right-sided heart catheterization (ARD-PAH) compared to those having PAH, not because of an ARD. Findings suggested that in adults with PAH, the presence of an ARD was not related to increased mortality following lung transplantation.
