Sun R, et al. - Authors performed this work to determine the incidence and risk factors for surgical site infection (SSI) after open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) of closed ankle fractures. As per findings, immediate operation by a surgeon with more expertise, after comprehensive evaluation of patients medical conditions, could effectively reduce SSI occurrence.
