Surgical resection of locally recurrent renal cell carcinoma after nephrectomy: Oncological outcome and predictors of survival
Urologic Oncology: Seminars and Original Investigations Sep 21, 2017
Herout R, et al. - This study elucidated the course of disease of patients surgically treated for locally recurrent renal cell carcinoma (LRRCC) after nephrectomy. It aimed at investigating the potential predictive factors for long-term survival. The patients with a disease-free interval of more than 2 years after surgery for the primary tumor reported that the surgical removal of LRRCC could yield long-term survival in maximum patients. The long-term survival appeared to be unlikely, in those with a shorter disease-free interval.
