They recognized that for surgical management of severe pelvic endometriosis with bowel involvement, laparoscopically assisted vaginal resection of rectosigmoid colon affected by endometriosis using ultrasonically activated shears with mechanical intestinal anastomoses tension free was a safe and effective procedure.
