Supplementation with dexmedetomidine for transsphenoidal resection of pituitary adenoma: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials
Clinical Neuropharmacology Jan 22, 2021
Liu Z, Gao C, Liu C, et al. - Researchers sought to determine the influence of dexmedetomidine supplementation on hemodynamic stability for transsphenoidal resection of pituitary adenoma via performing a systematic review and meta-analysis. Searching PubMed, EMbase, Web of science, EBSCO, and Cochrane library databases, they identified four randomized controlled trials involving 160 patients as eligible for inclusion in the meta-analysis. Findings support the effectiveness of dexmedetomidine supplementation in improving hemodynamic stability for transsphenoidal resection of pituitary adenoma.
