18F-fluorocholine PET whole-body MRI in the staging of high-risk prostate cancer

Metser U, et al. - Physicians designed this study to determine whether integrated 18F-fluorocholine (FCH) PET whole-body MRI (PET/WBMRI) depicted lymph node and distant metastases in patients with high-risk prostate cancer more frequently than does conventional staging. Compared with conventional imaging and WBMRI, FCH PET and FCH PET/WBMRI depicted significantly more metastatic lesions in patients with high-risk prostate cancer. Stage determined with PET/WBMRI could associate with early outcomes.
