Rais-Bahrami S, Efstathiou JA, Turnbull CM, et al. - A systematic literature review was conducted to explore the performance of ¹⁸Fluorine-fluciclovine PET/CT for imaging of men with recurrent prostate cancer. Researchers carried out searches of scientific literature databases (MEDLINE, ScienceDirect, and Cochrane Libraries) systematically during Oct 2020 using PRISMA criteria. Three hundred twenty-one unique articles were distinguished. A total of nine articles (six papers and three conference abstracts) including a total of 850 patients were enrolled. In patients with recurrent prostate cancer, ¹⁸F-Fluciclovine PET/CT shows good performance leading to measurable clinical benefits. It has been considered that careful adherence to recommended imaging protocols may help optimize detection rate.
