Suicide and chronic kidney disease: A case-control study

Liu CH, et al. - Analysts wished to gauge the association of suicide with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and dialysis, as well as, to examine whether differences exist between dialysis modalities or the durations of dialysis. This study noticed a positive association of CKD and hemodialysis (HD) with suicide. As suicide was preventable, this study suggested the importance of assessing mental and physical disorders and recommended to all physicians, particularly those treating patients in the early phase of HD.
