Successful treatment of autoimmune urticaria with low-dose prednisolone therapy administered for a few months: A case series of 42 patients

Vas K, et al. - This trial encompassed an evaluation of the efficacy of low-dose prednisolone treatment in patients with autoimmune urticaria (AIU). This therapy possibly served as an alternative for the treatment of AIU. In addition, a need for other therapies was disclosed in a small percentage of AIU patients. It was determined that AIU presented as a transient autoimmunity which could be successfully treated with low-dose steroid therapy administered for a few months.
