Successful intravenous immunoglobulin treatment in pediatric severe DRESS syndrome

Marcus N, et al. - Efficacy of intravenous immunoglobulins (IVIGs) in the treatment of drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) is described herein. On analyzing the findings in a case series of pediatric patients treated with IVIGs for DRESS, it was concluded that the addition of IVIG in DRESS syndrome resistant to regular drug withdrawal and systemic corticosteroid therapy may hasten disease recovery.
