Jolink C, et al. - During this trial, the effectiveness and safety of tympanoplasty were comprehensively evaluated among elderly patients. Researchers also gauged the upshot of frailty on the results. Compared to younger adults, no variation was illustrated in the success and complication rate among elderly undergoing tympanoplasty. Findings did not display the connection between the presence of multimorbidity or polypharmacy with the failure of tympanic membrane closure or a higher complication rate.
