Subjective evaluation of uncorrected vision in patients undergoing cataract surgery with (diffractive) multifocal lenses and monovision
Clinical Ophthalmology Aug 12, 2017
Stock RA, et al. – This study incorporated an evaluation of the patient satisfaction and difficulties with bilateral multifocal intraocular lenses (IOLs) implantation and aspheric monofocal IOLs implantation using monovision, after cataract surgery. It was concluded that both techniques displayed satisfactory results in terms of visual acuity for various activities without the requirement of glasses. Multifocal lenses served as a good choice for patients. The exception was night driving and patients who desired independence from glasses.
