Lane–Fall MB, et al. – This study reports on Pennsylvania cardiac ICUs and the association of ICU characteristics with mortality in the 30 days post– cardiac surgery. A variability was observed as it pertains to the structures, care practices, and clinician staffing in Pennsylvania cardiac surgery ICUs but none of these characteristics were statistically significantly related to mortality in the 30 days following surgery after adjustment.
