Stereotactic breast biopsy with benign results does not negatively affect future screening adherence

Lewin AA, et al. - The experts embraced this study to assess whether false-positive stereotactic vacuum-assisted breast biopsy (SVAB) affected subsequent mammographic screening adherence. SVABs with benign results did not negatively affect screening mammography adherence. Findings illustrated that previously described “harms” of false-positive mammography and biopsy could be exaggerated.
